DeeJay, percussionist and drummer, specializing in Afro-Cuban percussion.
I have studied privately with teachers of international caliber: Ernesttico regarding the percussion, drums with Oracio Ernandez (el negro) and vibraphone with Maestro Galeazzi (Maggio Fiorentino).
This great passion for percussion was born at the age of seven, when the “Homo Sapiens”, (known) pop complex from the 70s-80s) that rehearsed in the garage of my house, they had fun making me “Strumming” their musical instruments.
In January 1998 I started playing in clubs with the name of Silvano Del Gado;
that of combining percussion with DJ sets was a new idea that over the years has been very successful, it is was also an opportunity to let me know nationally and internationally until my first recording with Gianni Bini and Paolo Martini: “Disco down”. From there the decision to make productions record labels starting with the “Coffee Beat” series (Vol.2 was a tribal house hit in the world).
In 2001 I was contacted by Iskra Menarini (chorister of Lucio Dalla) to be part of his band during a tour in Australia. Upon my return, I joined the staff of the “Supalova Club”, the historic Thursday of the Old Milan Fashion live on Radio DJ, led by DJ-producer Joe T Vannelli, where I could collaborate with the most important international DJs and production houses: Erick Morillo, Little Louie Vega, Mousse T, Bob Sinclaire, David Guetta, etc.
In the meantime I have collaborated with many musicians, in particular with the clarinetist Alessandra Cavallini who gave me the opportunity to combine percussion with classical music; with Franco Santarnecchi and Piero Frassi, well-known jazz pianists; with saxophonists Luca Signorini (Dirotta su Cuba), Cris Pacini and Claudio Fabiani; with Rossana Casale, Maria Grazia Di Michele, Povia and L’Aura, guest star at the “Discanto” music competition.
I had the opportunity to open for 8 times the concerts to Vasco Rossi in the 2007 and 2008 tours at the San Siro stadium in Milan and Olimpico in Rome.
After many record productions and remixes in 2010 I decided to open my first label record, DNC Records, and to follow Del Gado Rec, finally managing to produce the music that reflected my profession as a percussionist and to be autonomous in everything and for everything, starting to produce the music I most prefer (L ’Afro House).
After a few years I began to see good record results with my productions, succeeding in entering the international rankings of this musical genre, until in the December 2017 I enter the ranking of the best Afro House of the World artists, a ranking of the top 100 artists of Traxsource, (international digital music portal).
To follow also in the following years 2018 and 2019 I enter this ranking with the song “From Jamaica To Brasil” reaching also with this production the first place in the international rankings and played by the most famous djs in the world: Bob Sinclar, Mark Knight, Roger Sanchez etc..
